Hunt Military Communities Foundation (HMCF) is excited to announce the winners of its sixth annual "Hunt Little Heroes" program. In honor of the Month of the Military Child, the Hunt Little Heroes program recognizes dependent children of military service members who are making a difference within their communities or beyond. Each winner is awarded a monetary prize and gets to select a charity of their choice to receive a donation of equal value.
This year's winners include Abel Hartgraves, Nora Blain, and Vincent Matthews. Abel was recognized for his commitment to helping other military families. His efforts in helping others during a local military-family toy drive event were inspiring and brought joy to many other military families during the holidays. Abel will be donating his matching award to Operation Homefront. Nora was recognized for her dedication to supporting her family and other military children in her community, making them feel welcome when new families arrive. Nora will be donating her matching award to H.O.P.E Acres Rescue. Vincent was recognized for starting a new club called "The Campus Cleaners" that focused on keeping their school grounds trash-free. His efforts were so successful, his new club spanned the entire school district. The charity March of Dimes will receive his matching award.
"We are honored to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our Hunt Little Heroes and the many military children across our country who go above and beyond to serve their communities," said Brian Stann, CEO of Hunt Military Communities and Chairman of the Board for the Hunt Military Communities Foundation. "The military children are nothing short of an inspiration. Congratulations to our applicants, who are all Hunt Little Heroes."
